Breaking: Ikara Local Government becomes the first Local Government in Nigeria to implement the Minimum Wage salary of N30, 000. This is also in line with the Gov. Mal. Nasir Ahmed El-Rufa’i’s Civil Service Reform Agenda.
The Local Government Chairman, Hon. Ibrahim Salihu Sadiq said, the need for the salary increase was due to the inflation and hardships affecting the people. He also said that he is only performing his mandate as responsibility on him which he will account for it before his creator. He emphasizes on the need for the staff to perform their duties effectively for the benefit of the state and country at large.
The Staff of the Local Government on their appreciation visit to the Chairman, has expressed their intense joy and gratitude for the salary increase and capital projects being executed in the area.
