EXECUTIVE BRIEF: THE KADUNA STATE PUBLIC HEALTH SUPPLY CHAIN TRANSFORMATION PROJECT UNIFIED SELLING PRICE LIST
The pilot phase of Kaduna State Public Health Supply Chain Transformation Project (SCTP) was officially launched in January 2017 across 23 selected Service Delivery Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and 5 Secondary Health Centres (SHCs) in the State
The bold and ambitious SCTP goal is to establish a sustainable end-to-end visible and well-coordinated “gold standard” Health Supply Chain Management system that will save lives and promote Health of the people of Kaduna State.
The implementation of SCTP is directed by a Steering Committee comprising leadership of Ministry of Health and Human Services, State Primary Healthcare Development Agency and Drugs and Medical Supplies Management Agency.
One of the many milestone achievement of the SCTP is the formulation of a unified selling price list of lifesaving essential health commodities across public health facilities in Kaduna state.
This unified selling price list is not only the first of it’s kind in Nigeria, it is a practical demonstration of the commitment of the Government of Kaduna State under the administration of Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufa’i Governor, Kaduna state as healthcare delivery remains a priority of the administration.
This unified selling price list serves as a transparency tool that will further build confidence in the Primary Healthcare Systems in the state and empower citizens of Kaduna to demand and access high quality Primary Healthcare Services anywhere in Kaduna State. Additionally, it can help citizens accessing Primary Healthcare Services to better plan their health expenditure and improve health seeking behaviour.
This unified selling price list is Currently updated and published monthly by the SCTP Steering Committee.
